Escape From Russia Based on Henry Vorrath's True Story

Escape from Russia is a powerful historical journey inspired by the experiences of German-Russian families during the collapse of Imperial Russia and the rise of the Bolshevik Revolution. Born into a disciplined and deeply connected family, Henry Vorrath grows up in the German colonies along the Volga River, where faith, hard work, and tradition shape everyday life. But as political unrest spreads across Russia, the stability his family once trusted begins to disappear. Revolution, fear, and violence slowly transform the world around them, forcing ordinary people into impossible choices. As the old empire collapses and new powers rise, Henry and his family must face persecution, uncertainty, and the painful reality of leaving behind the life they built for generations. What begins as a story about one family soon becomes a larger reflection on identity, survival, sacrifice, and the strength people discover when everything familiar is taken away.Blending historical context with emotional storytelling, Escape from Russia explores the forgotten experiences of the Volga Germans and the human side of one of history's most turbulent periods. It is a story about belonging, resilience, faith, and the difficult choices people make to protect the ones they love.
