Ever Adrift: Down North

In a distant future often indistinguishable from legend, Rasid, a young Terran with few noble intentions, becomes slowly entangled in the savage struggle between Earth's two most zealous immortals, who share an enmity as long-lasting as history itself. He soon finds himself adrift on the tides along with many others passed over by strict morality, inexorably drawn toward Adoneus, whose empathy and eloquence are rivaled only by the eagerness with which he embraces evil. Their journey will take them to the very top of the globe and the very depths of the soul; even if along the way, Rasid learns that, stranded as we all are on our beautiful but constantly changing planet, making solid distinctions between concepts such as top and bottom, north and south, even love and hate, is merely an exercise in self-deception. That chasing a better world always means serving a deeper devil, and that true heroes never fail to count themselves among the wicked.
