Evidence of Light

Cal Rourke was sober, careful, and just doing his job. When a late-night water alarm sends him to an empty rental house near Alder Ridge in northern Michigan, Cal expects a broken pipe, wet drywall, and another long night fixing problems for people who will never thank him.Instead, he finds a blocked road, a silent meadow, a strange utility box, and something impossible waiting in the dark. His dashcam records what happens.By morning, Cal is dead.As officials move quickly to narrow the story, Cal's sister, Mare, refuses to let the world turn her brother into a drunk, a liar, or an internet joke. With help from a reckless UAP podcaster, a sharp evidence lawyer, a stubborn detective, and a technical expert who trusts files more than people, Mare follows the one clue Cal left behind: Hang on to my work. But the deeper they dig, the more the mystery changes. This is not only about what Cal saw. It is about who was already waiting for it - and how private contractors, public systems, missing records, fake footage, and powerful interests can make truth disappear before anyone knows what to call it.Grounded, tense, and human, Evidence of Light is a UAP legal thriller about grief, proof, and the machinery built to bury the impossible.Because belief is easy to attack.Evidence is harder to kill.
