The theoretical foundations comprise both basic information on fairy tales and on 'logotherapy and existential analysis' according to Viktor E. Frankl. The term 'speech-language pedagogy' is defined, and possibilities are highlighted for meaningfully combining narrative texts in the form of fairy tales with speech-language pedagogical concepts. The research findings from two surveys conducted at different times are analysed and evaluated. The insights gained from this study are linked to practical implementation options for the classroom. The core pedagogical competencies of teachers are to be expanded to include logopedagogical concepts, thereby enabling them to meet the educational challenges of the 21st century.
