Fatal as a Fallen Woman: 2

When Diana Spaulding's father is murdered in Colorado in April 1888 and her mother is accused of the crime, intrepid journalist Diana heads west with the assistance of her editor at the Independent Intelligencer. She's sent to get a story, but her ultimate goal is to find the real killer and exonerate her mother. Once there, however, she discovers more secrets than she counted on. With her mother in hiding, she turns to a childhood neighbor for help and agrees to pose as his fiancée as a means of getting answers. Then things get complicated. First her real fiancé, Ben Northcote, follows her to Denver. Then Diana realizes that none of her mother's friends can be counted on to tell her the truth . . . and neither will her mother. "An engaging outing . . . bodes well for the two other books promised in this series." I Love A Mystery "A rip-roaring exciting mystery." Midwest Book Review
