Fated Encounters Classic Version

In a world where power is the only currency and those without magic are discarded as "defective," eleven-year-old Ren Gratos is forced to grow up fast when a mysterious dimensional collapse claims his parents and leaves him to protect his infant sister in the wilds of Wyoming. "A Wish for Power: Fated Encounters" follows Ren's desperate gamble to rewrite his destiny by entering a lethal rift alone, where he awakens not with common mana, but with the Breath of Genesis; a volatile, primordial energy which has another name; Aether. As he journeys from the shadows of his isolation to the prestigious but corrupt Gengi Unified School in New York, Ren assembles a found family of outcasts, including the demi-human assassin Aeryia and a sentient shadow-beast named Knight, to survive a gauntlet of rigged tournaments and noble conspiracies. This epic series opener sets the stage for a multiversal saga where a boy's simple wish to protect his family evolves into a journey that will eventually challenge the very gods of the cosmos and the limits of reality itself.
