Feelings Are

Feelings are feelings. The second book in Callum Halliwell's The Poem Within trilogy continues the journey started in Pain Is Comfort-going deeper into the thoughts, emotions and experiences that shape us.Through 24 raw and honest poems, Feelings Are Feelings explores OCD, depression, relationships, heartbreak, identity, and the lasting impact certain people can leave behind. These poems don't try to make difficult emotions beautiful. They simply allow them to exist. Some feelings are complicated. Some are uncomfortable. Some don't make sense. And some stay with you long after the person who caused them is gone. With Halliwell's distinctive use of language, punctuation and his own creative technique of "Intentionals," every poem is written with purpose-sometimes breaking the rules of writing to better represent the reality of the emotion behind the words.Emotional, vulnerable and unapologetically honest, Feelings Are Feelings asks the reader to sit with the feelings we so often try to escape. This is not a book about having all the answers. It's about feeling, feelings anyway. The story isn't finished yet.
