Melanie Konrad untersucht das Potenzial medienreflexiver Ansätze der Kritischen Theorie - insbesondere bei Walter Benjamin und Alexander Kluge - für die Weiterentwicklung historisierender (queer-)feministischer Perspektiven. Sie schließt eine Forschungslücke, indem feministische und queer-theoretische Fragen an Benjamins und Kluges Arbeiten gerichtet werden, um deren Relevanz für aktuelle Debatten zu medialen Prozessen, visueller Kultur, Erinnerungsarbeit und Geschichtsphilosophie herauszuarbeiten. Ziel ist es, methodologische Wege aufzuzeigen, wie (queer-)feministische Ansätze um historische und medientheoretische Fragestellungen produktiv erweitert werden können, und zugleich die Bedeutung von Benjamins und Kluges feministischer Rezeption hervorzuheben.Melanie Konrad examines the potential of media-reflective approaches in critical theory, particularly in the work of Walter Benjamin and Alexander Kluge, for the further development of historicizing (queer)feminist perspectives. This closes a research gap by applying feminist and queer-theoretical questions to the works of Benjamin and Kluge in order to highlight their relevance to current debates on media processes, visual culture, memory work, and the philosophy of history. The aim is to identify methodological ways in which (queer)feminist approaches can be expanded to include historical and media-theoretical questions, while at the same time highlight the significance of Benjamin's and Kluge's feminist reception.
