Bol The flipped classroom is an active teaching method in which information is presented to students before the in-person class-usually through videos or readings-and class time is devoted to more hands-on activities, such as discussions, projects, or problem-solving. This active teaching method aims to promote discovery-based learning. The overall objective of this research is to propose the flipped classroom as a means of fostering discovery-based learning among students in the Educational Research course at the Inter-American University of Distance Education in Panama. The methodology follows a positivist paradigm; it is applied, descriptive, and cross-sectional, employing a non-experimental field design in the form of a feasibility project. The sample consisted of 10 students enrolled in the Educational Research course at UNIEDPA. The instrument used was a questionnaire, and the technique was a survey. The results showed that the instructor of the Educational Research course does not use the flipped classroom in his or her teaching practice.
