A Centenary of Camaraderie, Resilience, and Community. In 1926, the Old Anchorians Club was founded by 30 former pupils and staff of Gillingham County School, Kent. This is the official history of The Anchorians Association, chronicling its remarkable journey from a humble 'Old Boys' organisation' to a vibrant, inclusive community asset celebrating its centenary (1926-2026). Built on the dedication of countless volunteers and the strength of its affiliated sports clubs, this history is told through decades of detailed archives and cherished members' recollections. It chronicles the Association's evolution and the tireless efforts to build its first and current, iconic Clubhouses, while maintaining its relationship with the County School's successor, The Howard School.
