Alanna's Garden of Transformation-what has transformed is not only the garden, but also my heart.¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿In this tumultuous era, the way of life has already changed. It is no longer an age of large families and big communities where everyone relies on one another. Living alone has become the mainstream, and every person must face a future of being alone. My Flower Dancing in Mountain Mist Farmstead was established in February 2012, at an elevation of about 900 meters, covering approximately four hectares. It began as a betel nut orchard. Adhering to the philosophy of returning nature to nature, I designated one hectare as a garden and leisure area and three hectares as a reforestation area. It was not until March 2019, after completing the return of the land to forest, that the farmstead was officially opened to the public in August of that same year.In this vast mountain forest, on ordinary days I am here alone. Throughout the long years of solitude, the Diamond Sutra has strengthened me-it has accompanied me through countless moments of joy and sorrow in my life. And the companionship of Su Dongpo has made my loneliness feel not so solitary, as if there were truly someone walking beside me through life's hardships. These hardships have become simply a natural part of existence. Had it not been for Su Dongpo's encouragement, I would never have known that there is still a meaning to my life rooted in nature.The pine tree can grow tenaciously on a cliff face because it knows that the environment can offer only so much. So it wraps the bases of its needles in thick cuticle layers to reduce moisture loss, allowing life to endure and survive drought. This is Su Dongpo. The cypress tree-no one tries to sculpt it, for it grows neither too fast nor too slow, emits a unique fragrance, and becomes an irreplaceable wood. This is the Diamond Sutra. Classics are not only found in books; they are also in my garden.
