Fontana FORMIELLO Polenta Maïsmeel (500g)

A top quality, coarsely ground corn flour made from a specially selected blend of different varieties of corn from Northern Italy. This polenta is pre-cooked with steam to make it fast cooking while retaining all the goodness and flavour of the original cornmeal. This polenta is ideal for traditional polenta dishes with meat (braised beef, sausage, stews), mushroom and red sauces. Polenta is a traditional Northern Italian dish where it has been a staple since the beginning of the 16th century when the cultivation of corn was introduced to Europe from the Americas. Packed under-vacuum in plastic bag with paperboard sleeve. Good to know: Polenta makes a great coating for anything that requires a satisfying crunch. Try polenta dusted onto potatoes before roasting, or on fish or chicken.
