Bol Born in the same year and based in New York City, abstract expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler (1928–2011) and leading exponent of minimalism Donald Judd (1928–1994) pursued markedly different paths within the history of post-war abstraction while achieving major success in the United States. This catalogue coincides with an exhibition contrasting the two seminal American artists at Kunsthal KAdE in Amersfoort.
