Freedom In Shackles

Freedom in Shackles is a screenplay, a drama, and a work of fiction set in 1825 America. In his first thirteen years of life, Ajo, a crown prince, knows nothing but love, peace, harmony, respect for human dignity, and innate bravery in his paradise of a village in Africa. But then Slave Raiders break in, kidnap him, and life is never the same. Now, in a different world, on slave plantations deep in the South of America, where cruelty meets degradation of humanity, he is renamed Spark, and the quest for freedom burns fervently in him. His tribe submits to no one. It's a taboo among his people for a crown prince to be buried in a foreign land, but he faces an uphill task with the enslavers and the prevailing law. Against all odds, Spark battles the plantation owners, drawing on his innate bravery, the power of a burning love, and a unique tactic of warfare to forge his way toward the paradise of a home in Africa.
