Christianity has its own vocabulary, history, habits, and assumptions. If you did not grow up around church, even an ordinary Sunday service can feel like walking into the middle of a conversation that started centuries before you arrived. People may talk about grace, salvation, the gospel, worship, the Trinity, Scripture, discipleship, and being "saved" as though everyone knows what those words mean. This book does not assume that you do. Volume 1 begins at the beginning. We will ask what Christianity actually claims, why Christians believe in God, who the Christian God is, what the Bible says about humanity and sin, why Jesus stands at the center of the faith, what Christians mean by the cross and resurrection, and what it means to become and begin living as a Christian. The goal is not to pressure you into pretending certainty. You are allowed to ask hard questions. You are allowed to slow down. You are allowed to say, "I do not understand that yet." At the same time, we will take Christianity seriously enough to let it speak for itself rather than reducing it to slogans, internet arguments, bad experiences with Christians, or things people vaguely remember from childhood. Throughout this book, you will notice that we speak directly to you. That is intentional. This series is educational, but it is also designed to feel like discipleship: someone walking beside you, explaining what Christians believe, showing you where those beliefs come from, and helping you think about what they would mean in real life. You do not need to rush. Read with a Bible nearby if you can. Look up the passages. Write questions in the margins. Revisit di cult lessons. Christianity is not a trivia contest. The point is not to collect religious facts. The point is to understand the God Christianity says is real, the world He made, what has gone wrong with us, what He has done in Jesus Christ, and what response that calls for from you.
