From Immigration to Integration

This book, titled "From Migration to Integration: Afghan Elites in Ireland" by Nasruddin Saljuqi, draws on the author's experiences to examine the formation and integration of the Afghan community in Ireland. Adopting an analytical and case study-based approach, the work demonstrates how refugee admission policies, the protection of human rights, and the role of civil society institutions have facilitated the successful integration of Afghan migrants into the host society. It also highlights the significant contributions of migrant elites to Ireland's cultural, economic, and social development.In another section of the book, the author introduces a number of migrants under the theme "Wise Intellectuals and Entrepreneurial Figures," exploring their paths to integration across four professional fields-specialists, journalists, legal experts, and activists. He has also compiled the biographies of many influential individuals who play active roles in Irish society. These narratives, reflecting hope, resilience, and progress, are presented as a record of a historical moment, illustrating the active and constructive role of the Afghan diaspora in Ireland.
