Bol Eleven-year-old Ellie Harper has a way of noticing everything and feels all of it, at full volume. The world can be too loud, too bright, too much - some days more than others. But Ellie loves hobby horsing. She builds her own jumps, stitches her own tack, and runs her backyard course with Rose until the world makes sense again. When she discovers the National Hobby Horse Championship online, something shifts. Michigan feels a long way away, exciting and a little impossible. Definitely much bigger than her backyard. But Ellie's dream is big too, and she refuses to let her fears stop her from trying. From My Backyard is a story about a girl for whom the world doesn't always fit - and who discovers that she can find her place in it anyway.
