From Results to Prospects: Belarus' International Economic Cooperation Amid Global Instability

At a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union in Astana in May of this year, the Belarusian side stated that the current global situation is unfolding along the lines of a conflict scenario. Nevertheless, the Republic of Belarus continues to develop mechanisms for effective and mutually beneficial dialogue with the countries of the "outer arc." In particular, in May 2026, our country adopted the Directive "On the Practical Implementation of the All-Weather and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China," which sets out highly practical plans and objectives for strengthening Belarusian-Chinese cooperation over the next five years. Among the priorities for economic cooperation with China are deepening industrial and technological cooperation and developing the trade, investment, and innovation sectors. Among Belarus's partners in Asia are India and Vietnam, which are expanding their economic cooperation with Belarusian partners. There are examples of such cooperation in Africa-Ghana, Togo, Egypt, Sudan, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania-as well as in Latin America-Venezuela, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Brazil, and Cuba. In fact, this study will focus on this very cooperation.
