From the Bottom of Our Hearts is the remarkable true story of a black soldier in a white man's army. He was killed in Korea in a fierce battle on Outpost Harry. Prior to being killed, he saved the lives of up to nine wounded comrades. This is the story of his upbringing, his reputation, and his love for his fellow man. After his death, he received no recognition. Many years later, his heroism was partially recognized by the awarding of the Silver Star. But finally, in January of 2025, after many years of work by many people, Charlie was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor! About the Author Louis O. Molella is retired from IBM. He was born and brought up in Milbrook, NY. He served in the U.S. Army, having trained at Ft. Benning, and deployed to Germany in the late 1950s. As a kid, his hero was the main character in this book. This is the story of pursuing Charlie's well deserved credit.
