This study analyzes the willingness of Haitian emigrants in Martinique to contribute to the financing of development projects in their communities of origin using a sensitivity analysis. The descriptive results show that Haitian emigrants are responsive to the development of their communities of origin. This responsiveness is estimated at 2.22% of the respondents' monthly income. The descriptive analysis also shows that emigrants would like to contribute an average of 1,182.54 euros per month. Results from the censored Tobit model regression show that willingness to pay for development project funding is influenced by factors such as marital status, education level, number of children in the household, and cultural variables including solidarity, belief in God, fatalism, and the philosophy of transience.
