While the original publication included several adopted exercises and etudes, the new edition replaces them with Gajdo¿'s own compositions and arrangements.This English edition, published by BumbleBee Notes Music Publishing in 2026, is a faithful translation and copy of the original. The only differences are the organization of the introductory material, the placement of the table of contents (What's Inside), and the additional information at the back, highlighting the importance of the Czech double bass school that Gajdo¿'s method so strongly represents.The first book contains: introductory information, parts of the double bass, standing with the instrument, holding the bow, open string exercises, preparatory and instructional exercises, etudes, and several performance pieces, including Suita Barocca by Miloslav Gajdo¿.
