Paul first penned his gospel message under internal duress to the Galatians. Influences were pulling them away from the freedom of the gospel to incorporating the law. Years later the apostle penned an expanded presentation of his message to the Romans in the form of an essay. The two epistles are related and are presented together in this book Galatians-Romans. This commentary, first in the series Poetic Structures New Testament Commentary, follows the chiastic outlines presented in the book Poetic Structures: Outline of the New Testament by Pat Reynolds. The detailed outlines are included in the Appendix.
