Preface The Yokoten mini-series publications follow the success of my first book, Genba Ikigai - Leading to Serve, which is now selling in over 16 countries. The book is based on my personal experience at Toyota, followed by several hundred assignments in Lean-TPS, performance, culture-building, and strategy execution as a consultant, Genba coach, and advisor to several hundred organizations. This mini-series manuscript has been developed from the LDP - Lean Development Program, Hoshin Kanri, and e-platform materials, as provided by our organization, Lean Leadership Way Institute. It is written in an executive, practical tone. It is intended to help senior leaders and management understand the purpose, discipline, and value of Hoshin Kanri while also encouraging them to continue learning through the Yokoten Training platform and direct advisory support.
