Geno Atkins

Geno Atkins (born Gene Renard Atkins Jr; March 28, 1988) is an American football defensive tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Bengals in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia. He is also the son of former American football safety for the New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins Gene Atkins. Atkins was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on March 28, 1988. He attended St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale helped the school be the Class AAAAA runner-ups in both 2004 and 2005. As a junior at St. Thomas Aquinas in 2004, Atkins had 70 tackles (12 resulted in lost yardage), one interception, and four fumble recoveries. In 2005, during his senior season, he had 117 tackles, 7.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
