The Marder III, the subject of this volume, was produced from 1942 to 1944 in three main variants: the initial version armed with the Soviet 76.2 mm F-22 gun (captured and converted into the Pak 36(r)), and the subsequent Ausf. H and Ausf. M, both armed with the German-produced 7.5 cm PaK 40.
