Chapters include theoretical, empirical, and observational contributions, case studies, along with autoethnographic narratives, and explore a diverse range of family information behaviours and practices from around the world. Presenting information engagements and practices within families, including oral history traditions, documents, artefacts, personal and family archives, and digital inheritance, the volume contributes to the literature of family information practices through the lens of human information behaviour and related theories. Documenting Family Information and the Curation of Life Histories will be of great interest to researchers and students who are engaged in the study of information science and readers interested in collective memory, cultural transmissions, family history, ways of remembering, and digital life.
