In God, are you listening?, I share my story of desperation in searching for and crying out to a God I thought could not hear me. It is a story of a life dominated by abuse, fear, and insecurity that has been changed to a life filled with passion, peace, and freedom. It is my prayer that readers will find peace and comfort in seeing that they are not alone, that they are loved, and that they are special. This book, a devotional, is about the peace that God offers every heart and the wounds He heals. Each of the 14 chapters tells a story in itself and touches subjects such as abuse, abandonment, depression, forgiveness, and unconditional love. For example, chapter nine titled, the hypocrites of the church, is an emotional story of the Department of Family Services removing my 3-year-old daughter for 3 days from my home due to a misjudgment from a local church. It relates to the reader Gods will prevailing through crisis and the realization that He is in control. It is a chapter about true forgiveness. Each chapter is concluded with a related prayer, Bible scriptures to confirm what Gods Word tells us about His plans and love for us, and a set of reflection questions to help the reader through their walk of self-discovery and healing.
