GOLDEN OAKS: by E.L.W

Golden Oaks was never just a trailer park. It was a creature. A myth. A whole universe made of storms, wolves, ditches, rockpiles, and the strange mercy of the wild. In this mythic autobiographical memoir, E.L.W. returns to the place that raised him, not gently, but truthfully. Golden Oaks, a trailer park off Highway 70 in Northern California, becomes a living beast: part wilderness, part battleground, part cathedral, part constellation. Golden Oaks is not pure nostalgia. It is mythmaking, a remembering of what childhood really is for the kids who grew up too fast... The children of poverty. The middle-kids who became diplomats. The ones raised by chaos and love in equal measure. The ones who survived their beginnings. The ones who still carry their first universe inside them Golden Oaks is the origin story of a boy who learned to read the sky... And the sky has never stopped speaking.
