This study examines the government's contribution, focusing on the link between financing and the efficiency of Mali's education system. The document consists of five chapters: The first chapter describes the purpose of the study, its rationale, and its context. The second chapter provides a review and critical analysis of theories and literature related to the topic. The third chapter presents the research methodology. The fourth chapter presents, analyzes, and interprets the findings by examining the share of expenditure categories in the annual variation of overall budget allocations, as well as the growth in the number of direct and indirect beneficiaries. The fifth and final chapter presents the main conclusions and recommendations: the predominance of teachers' salaries in the budget should prompt reflection and drive decision-making. Indeed, inequalities in the allocation of funding are evident in the statistical analysis and can serve as grounds for advocacy. In this vein, several strategies likely to reduce these inequalities are proposed.
