Novel extraction methods including Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE), super-critical fluid extraction (SCFE), Accelerated Solvent Extraction (ASE) and ultrasound extraction (USE) have drawn significant research attention in the last decade. If these techniques are explored scientifically, they can provide an efficient extraction technology for ensuring the quality of herbal medicines worldwide. This work aimed at introducing, optimizing and disseminating these new technologies to Egypt. We succeeded in introducing new technologies for an important sector in Egypt which may have a good effect on improving the quality and quantity of the products.
