Health System Performance Assessment Framework for the Slovak Republic

The health system performance assessment (HSPA) framework for the Slovak Republic is a tool for monitoring the Slovak health system and healthcare performance, designed to improve public reporting and to inform policy and decision making. This report describes the Slovak HSPA framework and documents its development through an inclusive and collaborative process. It also describes the indicators that were selected to populate the Slovak HSPA framework, detailing the methodology for the selection of indicators and stakeholder involvement. Further, the report outlines a proposal for governance of the Slovak HSPA and offers strategies to embed HSPA intelligence in national policymaking, including linking with national health policy strategy and evaluation. Implementing the Slovak HSPA framework will help enhance accountability and transparency of key stakeholders, enable evidence-based policymaking, and promote continuous improvement in the Slovak health system.
