Zoonotic helminth infections remain a major public health issue in developing regions with close human-animal contact and limited veterinary services. This cross-sectional study assessed the prevalence of zoonotic helminths in domestic dogs and evaluated owner awareness in Michiru, Blantyre, Malawi. Fecal analysis of 70 dogs revealed infections with Toxocara spp., Ancylostoma spp., Echinococcus spp., and Diphyllobothrium spp., with Toxocara spp. most prevalent. Owner awareness and deworming practices were generally low. Enhanced veterinary interventions and community education are recommended.
