Homeshake Under The Weather (CD)

Under The Weather is a moody, introspective studio album by Homeshake, released in 2021. Conceived during a prolonged period of depression for Peter Sagar, it plays like a personal diary of emotional fatigue and quiet struggle, wrapped in a hazy, late-night atmosphere. The production is intimate and restrained, focusing on soft vocals, drifting synths and gently pulsing rhythms that evoke a feeling of isolation and muted melancholy rather than dramatic catharsis.Sonically, the album sits in a blend of indie alternative and lo-fi mellow RnB, with touches of downtempo synth-pop that keep the mood subdued but warm. The LP edition appears on coloured vinyl, underscoring its appeal to collectors drawn to distinctive physical releases as well as its immersive sound. Across its concise running time, Under The Weather sustains a cohesive, grey-skied tone that reflects the emotional state in which it was written, making it one of Homeshake’s most thematically unified and inward-looking works.
