Our monograph focuses on Franco-Latin literature, particularly poetry. Horace and Boileau, leading figures in poetics, have been in dialogue down the centuries. This dissertation analyzes the decisive influence of Horace's "Ars Poetica" on Boileau's "Art Poétique", revealing how Boileau adapts and reinterprets Horatian precepts to forge French classical doctrine. A comparative study of these two works, focusing on the notions of convergence, divergence and imitation, will reveal the complexity of this aesthetic filiation.
