Bol A hotspot represents a change in land cover and land use over time. The type of imagery that best represents a hotspot is that with the highest resolution, which consequently provides the most spatial detail for each hotspot and may prove essential for highlighting changes within a given land-use type. We conducted a field mission lasting about ten days to identify the causes, factors, and actors involved in this degradation or regeneration. A preliminary survey of local authorities and residents allowed us to understand the facts and their causes. Detailed field assessments were carried out through direct observations by environmental specialists and cartographers. A sociologist and an agroeconomist inspected, interviewed, and examined all activities that interact with the environment of the various social groups that make up these rural populations. The results are summarized in this report, along with proposed solutions put forward by the local population-that is, by the stakeholders themselves.
