Housing Law

Housing Law covers all aspects of the law of residential landlord and tenant, with particular reference to security of tenure and enfranchisement (including the right to buy). The text covers public sector secure tenancies, in addition to private sector tenancies, long residential tenancies, leasehold enfranchisement for both houses and flats, and the law regulating the management and repair of blocks of flats. It also provides detailed coverage of the new law on leasehold enfranchisement and the management of leasehold property contained in the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002.
