For Years, I smiled through pain that no one could see. I was the strong woman, the mother, the caregiver, the one people depended on. What they didn't know was that behind every smile was a battle with depression, anxiety, trauma, and self-doubt. In the black community, we are often taught to pray through our pain, push through our struggles, and keep moving no matter how much we are hurting. I did exactly that until I couldn't anymore. This is the story of how I survived, how I healed, and how I found purpose in my pain.
