When we speak about addiction, the first thing that comes to mind is drug and alcohol addiction because this problem represents a danger threatening individuals, families, and society at large. Addiction, however, is not in reality limited to only drugs and alcohol, but its concept extends to encompass every habit that holds a person captive. Despite the damage resulting from the dominion of these habits over a person-whether from the health, mental, or material aspect, or their effect on the social condition-nevertheless, the person continues to practice them because he is robbed of his will and freedom.
