Humans and the XO: Language as an Experience of Humanization

The philosophy of language has shown that certain statements do more than simply describe the world: they act upon it. In certain circumstances, to say is to do. But what becomes of this intuition when applied to human experience? Can language be more than a linguistic act? Can it contribute to the transformation of human existence?Through an approach that combines the philosophy of language with phenomenological inquiry, this book offers a reinterpretation of performativity as an experience of humanization. It shows that speech is not merely a tool for communication, but also a space for recognition, transformation, engagement, and the construction of meaning.By exploring the symbolic, existential, and relational dimensions of the performative, this research argues that words do not merely act upon situations; they also act upon human beings themselves.This work thus opens up a reflection on what speaking does to existence and on how language can become a space where humanity is revealed, constructed, and unfolded.
