The issue of traditional hunting and its impacts poses a challenge for rural development. This primary activity has undergone significant changes over the past two decades. Indeed, it has evolved from a social and cultural activity focused on survival and self-consumption into an economic activity as a result of economic upheavals, sociopolitical unrest, and population growth in the Haho Prefecture. As a result, it provides farmers with additional income that allows them to meet their basic needs. This activity benefits from favorable human and physical conditions. However, this transformation raises concerns regarding the sustainable management of the forest's natural resources-particularly its wildlife-and the preservation of forest biodiversity. This study, which analyzed the impacts of traditional hunting in Haho Prefecture, led to recommendations aimed at preserving the vegetation cover and its natural resources.
