Bol Immobilization of Ruthenium loaded hydrotalcite (Ru-HT) is found to be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for N-Alkylation of Aniline with Benzyl alcohol. In this book, the synthesis and characterization of Ru-HT catalyst with different Mg/Al ratio have been presented. The N-Alkylation of Aniline with Benzyl alcohol using one of the Ru-HTs catalysts has been explored in absence of solvent as well as base as HT itself is basic in nature. The primary results indicate the formation of N-Benzylidene benzenamine as a product.
