I AM A Guardian: Proud to Serve

What does it mean to proudly serve as a Guardian? High above Earth, satellites help people communicate, navigate, track changing weather, and respond to emergencies. On the ground, Guardians work together to keep those critical systems running. I Am a Guardian introduces young readers to the Space Force through clear, age-appropriate storytelling and imaginative illustrations. Children will discover how Guardians study maps, monitor signals, use computers, track satellites, protect information, plan missions, and solve challenging problems. Although their work may involve space, Guardians serve right here on Earth. Their careful attention supports aircraft, ships, rescue teams, weather tracking, communication, and people around the world. The story emphasizes that technology is only one part of the mission. Listening, learning, staying focused, and working as a connected team are equally important. It also gently acknowledges that service may take Guardians far from the people they love. Created for children ages 3-7, this engaging picture book makes a complex branch of service understandable without emphasizing combat. Perfect for military families, classrooms, libraries, and young readers fascinated by space and technology. An accessible introduction to Space Force service from the Proud to Serve series.
