I AM MARLEEN: A Memoir of Poems, Testimonies and Prayers.

FROM BROKENNESS TO LIGHTWhat happens when the little girl who was robbed of her childhood grows into a woman determined to reclaim her voice, rebuild her life, and discover the freedom that comes through forgiveness? In I AM MARLEEN SMITH, Marleen Smith opens the pages of her life with courage and vulnerability, taking readers on an intimate journey through childhood wounds, motherhood, broken relationships, disappointment, faith, and restoration.Through powerful poems, personal testimonies, prayers, and deeply reflective stories, Marleen gives voice to experiences that could have left her bitter, broken, and defined by her past. Instead, she chooses to confront the places that hurt, ask difficult questions, and allow God to transform her pain into purpose. This is not simply a story about what happened to Marleen. It is a testimony of who she became. With honesty and grace, she explores the difficult journey of learning to forgive those who wounded her, trusting again after betrayal, finding strength in seasons of uncertainty, and discovering that even the most painful chapters can become part of a greater story of redemption.I AM MARLEEN SMITH is an invitation to anyone who has ever wondered whether healing is possible after deep disappointment, whether forgiveness is possible after betrayal, or whether light can truly emerge from the darkest seasons.Marleen's story reminds us that our wounds may shape parts of our story, but they do not have to determine its ending. From brokenness to healing. From silence to voice. From survival to purpose. From darkness to light. This is Marleen's story. And perhaps, as you turn these pages, you will find a little of your own story within it.
