I'm No Angel

Angela, a smart, confident arts graduate, who had dreams of making a difference in the world, believed her classmate she thought was her friend, went with him to his place to see his paintings only to be raped. To get away, she takes a teaching job in the middle of nowhere where she struggles from the trauma of being violated, the dread people will see she was raped, saying she asked for it. She wants to die, she doesn't want to die. She likes being a teacher, but she wants to move the students beyond rote learning to thinking critically for themselves, which gets her into trouble with the potato-head principal. In the end, she's caught with a female student in her boarding house room and is fired. She ends up in the city where, finding odd jobs, she pursues her art and writing, still filled with rage, wanting to die, not wanting to die.
