I WAS SUPPOSED TO DIE: Based on the True Life Story of Adeyemi Olujide Ajayi (AJ)

I WAS SUPPOSED TO DIEA Story of Survival, Faith, and PreparationOne doctor's sentence changed everything: "Prepare to die."When Pastor Adeyemi Ajayi-husband, father, immigrant, and provider-walked into a hospital for what he thought was a routine medical checkup, he never imagined he would be diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer. The odds were against him. The fear was real. And suddenly, the future he had spent years building for his family stood on the edge of collapse. But years earlier, one decision changed everything.A simple conversation about life insurance-something he almost ignored-became the very thing that gave him time, dignity, financial stability, and hope when life took its darkest turn.In this deeply emotional and inspiring true story, Adeyemi Ajayi takes readers through: - the devastating moment he was told he might not live much longer, - the pain of treatment and uncertainty, - the emotional burden of being a breadwinner facing death, - and the powerful financial lessons most families discover too late.More than a cancer survival story, I WAS SUPPOSED TO DIE is a wake-up call about preparation, legacy, and protecting the people you love before tragedy strikes.Through gripping real-life experiences, heartbreaking contrasts, and eye-opening financial truths, this book challenges common myths about life insurance, Indexed Universal Life (IUL), annuities, probate, and financial security-especially within African and immigrant communities. This is not a book about death. It is a book about what happens when wisdom prepares you to keep living.Emotional, educational, and unforgettable, I WAS SUPPOSED TO DIE will leave you asking one life-changing question: If something happened to you today... would your family truly be ready?
