Bol I Will Not Say I am Hungry is a short collection of intricately crafted poems which highlight the complex relationships of identity, trauma, and control to eating disorders. The poems follow the peaks and recessions of restrictive eating behaviors, and the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual repercussions of continually forcing yourself to be smaller, smoother, and less. Lee asks all of us - are you a decorative object which must be pinched, prodded, and perfected? Or are you a breathing, creating, and growing animal?
