Ice Ants

When the sun vanished, they built an artificial god of light to take its place. While humanity lived in crystal cities under the glare of a worshiped, fabricated sun; those who questioned, those who refused to bow, were banished below-into dark tunnels of earth, concrete, and rusted iron. Ten-year-old Aren has never seen the true sun in his life.
