Implementation of a Web Application for Higher Education Institutions

The selection of higher education institutions in Benguela province has presented challenges for many students, due to flaws in data collection, the location of institutions and the scarcity of information available on websites. This makes choosing institutions difficult for those in other provinces or municipalities. The research was carried out using bibliographic, exploratory and documentary methods, using deductive, observational and comparative approaches. Data collection was quantitative, allowing sufficient information to be obtained to understand the process of selecting HEIs in Benguela and to identify the requirements needed to implement the web application. The agile Scrum methodology was chosen for the software development. The system was modeled using StarUML, the database was developed in SQL Server, and the back end was programmed in C# with the ASP.NET Core framework, using Visual Studio Community. At the end of the project, the web application will enable students to improve their selection process for higher education institutions.
