This thesis was completed as part of the M1 internship for the Master's in Public Health, specializing in Health Information Systems Expertise and Engineering (EISIS). The objective was to implement a system to improve donor and donation management at this center. The methodology was based on the use of new data collection tools and the implementation of a blood donor and donation management application. We implemented various tools to collect information on the donor, the donation, laboratory tests and their results, and the tracking of products generated by donations and their distribution to their final destination. The management application was developed by modifying the Sanggre Blood Donor software. The center currently maintains a database of all its donors, regardless of their type (family, volunteer, mobile, and autologous), and the traceability of products and procedures is ensured. Implementing this system was not easy at first, but emphasis was placed on communication and user training to achieve the desired results.
