The authors bring together here well over 100 different song texts with musical transcriptions and analysis, cultural context and, for many, translations. This volume brings the rich knowledge and artistic skill of the song-makers of Indigenous Victoria to a wider audience and makes the sources of these songs, in manuscripts, old journals and sound recordings, accessible, often for the first time.
